Bob retired from the New York City Fire Department after 33 years of service. In addition, after 30 years of distinguished service, he also retired from the United States Army Reserve at the Rank of Master Sergeant.
After retiring, Bob began playing the bagpipes in 1997. Bob's pipes are made by McCallum.
Bob likes to travel with his wife. They especially like cruising and have visited some far-off ports such as, Barcelona, St. Petersburg, Cozumel, and Edinburgh.
Since the band formed in 1997, Bob has served as the band's Quartermaster.
